"I will not go without you," answered Rebecca. "We will be saved or die together. And yet, great God! My father — my father, what will be his fate?"

"I have found you," he said to Rebecca. "You see that I always keep my word. I have cut my way through fifty dangers to take you to safety. Get up and follow me!"

A few moments later, the Black Knight came into the room. "I would not have found you, Wilfred," he said, "if it had not been for your shouting!"
