The captain, Mr Thomas Wilcocks, could see that I was not well. He took me to his cabin, gave me a drink, and told me to rest for a while. Before I went to sleep I told the captain to be sure to rescue all the valuable furniture and other things from my travelling box, including the silk with which it was lined.
