He choked on air as he looked at me with wide eyes, making me laugh. He shook off his shock and was about to say what I was sure was a dirty reply, but I held my hand up, which stopped him from speaking, and said, "I just don't want you to get hurt, that's all."

Dominic smiled at me as he moved towards me and engulfed me in his arms. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I haven't lost a fight yet, and I'm not going to start on the best night of my life. I've got this, baby."

We arrived at Darkness twenty minutes ago; the music was pounding, people were dancing and Dominic was shadow boxing in the corner near the circle to get 'warm' or something like that. I was shattered and a bit tender and sore. I was sat in a large booth with Ala
