Introduction
The prosecutor is one of the central figures in criminal proceedings in the Russian Federation, having a wide range of powers both in the pre-trial stages of criminal proceedings and in the trial stage. At the same time, the key function of the prosecutor in this area is to protect the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, which is expressed in ensuring compliance with the requirements of national legislation by all procedural subjects.
