This book incorporates materials of two conferences held by Commission of the Renaissance Culture and Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Science in 2019–2020. The articles of noted Russian experts of the history of Renaissance culture that are put together in this book examine characteristic features of Renaissance education, pedagogics, and its attitude to the ancient and medieval tradition. Some articles are dedicated to the idea of humanistic formation in its theoretical aspects and in practice of educational institution of this period. Another principal concern of this book is Renaissance Scientific knowledge and new achievements in the natural and exact sciences. The Appendix of this book is supplied with a first time published Russian translation of some documents concerning science and pedagogical theory of the Renaissance.

This book is intended for all interested in the Renaissance or world culture.
